DRAKE BAY

This remote bay (Bahia Drake) is located at the northwest coast of the Peninsula the Osa. Only little has changed since the arrival of Sir Francis Drake. He set foot ashore in 1579 during his trip around the world.
When you like active holidays, you'll be sure to get what you need here. For al the activities, take a look!

And be sure to take some time to just relax and enjoy your stay in complete untouched rainforest.

This next paragraph is right out of the Lonely Planet Tourist Guide:

"Home to the best remaining strands of Central America's Pacific coastal rain forest, the largely inaccessible Peninsula de Osa also boasts the Parque National Corcovado, wich protects some of Costa Rica's most spectacular natural wonders.
This protected area attracts countless visitors, ready to explore its many riches - from flockes of scarlet macaws tot colonies of monkeys to elusive animals such as the jaguar."

What to bring:
  • Flashlight
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Sturdy footwear such as hikingboots will give you more grip than sneakers
  • Insect repellent
  • Binoculars
Caño Island is very near! You can see the island from the beach. Ancient Indians buried their dead here and they left mysterious globes as their witness. The legende says that somewhere on the island there's a hidden treasure that pirates left there ages ago.

Drake Bay is very near the Corcovado National Park. There's a footpath along and over the beach, leading you to the park.
